Ireland became the first team to be eliminated from EuroCup 08 after they lost 3-1 to Scotland.

John Macdonald's header and Edward Redwood's volley gave England a 2-0 win over Ireland in Neuchatel.

Simon Herding also saved a penalty from Neil Boyle after CraiCo's handball in which the London United midfielder was sent off for.

How did they get there: Via qualifiers. Started the campaign as the Republic of Ireland before the unification in March 2007. Northern Ireland's place was taken by Montenegro.
